Hotel Location - Bloomsbury top of page
North of the West End and Covent Garden, Bloomsbury is an academic area. Not only did it give its name to the Bloomsbury Group - Virginia Woolf's literary set - but also many of London's universities have their buildings here. The British Museum completes the academic picture. Bloomsbury seems otherwise to have stayed in the Victorian era with bow-windowed shops and cafes, particularly around Woburn Walk. A spacious, slow-paced non-residential area with many relaxing squares and quiet nooks to escape to, Bloomsbury is ideal for those who can find the pace of London a bit too fast on occasion.
