Hotel Location - Docklands top of page
An expansive area reaching eastwards from Tower Bridge, Docklands is one of the most interesting and varied areas of London. The specially designed wharfs for various cargoes date back to the 18th and 19th centuries at the height of the British Empire, and due to both the disintegration of this empire and the extensive bombing in World War II the area has been recreated with some of London's most modern and stylish buildings, including the landmark Canary Wharf Tower. Architecturally and historically diverse, today's Docklands is a thriving, bustling business district replete with luxury residences and smart shops, bars and restaurants.
